Testing Update Webinar - March 17, 2022

This webinar was held by NMDOH and NMPED as an update to the toolkit released on March 11, 2022.

Direct Funding Webinar

The overarching goal of the New Mexico Schools COVID-19 Testing and Screening program is to help New Mexico schools maximize in-person learning days effectively and safely during the pandemic. As part of this program, all K-12 schools and districts in New Mexico are eligible to receive funding to support their COVID-19 prevention, mitigation, and response.

This one hour webinar, recorded on February 4, 2022, reviewed the process for opting into direct funding, requesting reimbursements, and reporting on expenses. It will be recorded and posted at this page: https://nmschoolscovidtesting.com/direct-funding-info/.

SimpleReport Webinar

All schools performing their own Point of Care (PoC) on-site rapid COVID-19 tests are required to submit positive and negative test results within 24 hours to NMDOH through a platform called SimpleReport.

SimpleReport is a CDC platform that allows schools to easily report COVID-19 results to public health departments. It is entirely web-based, allowing multiple users to report from your school at the same time. Results are reported in real-time; the system stores all results for you to revisit.

This webinar reviews the basics of SimpleReport and shares resources to learn more.

Please note that as of 2/1/2022, schools are no longer required to submit positive results to the NMPED through Rapid Response. SimpleReport reporting to NMDOH, however, is still required.
